Social media buzz points to the actress being approached for the female lead opposite Nani, though the makers haven't confirmed anything yet.
Nani wrapped his portions on The Paradise and is due a short break before he moves to the sets of Bloody Romeo, his next film with director Sujeeth. And right on cue, the casting rumour mill has kicked into gear.
Word doing the rounds on social media suggests Meenakshi Chaudhary has been approached to play the female lead opposite Nani in the film. There's no official confirmation from the production yet, and reports so far describe her as someone the team is considering rather than someone locked in.
That gap between rumour and confirmation has predictably turned into a small comment-section war. Sections of Nani's fanbase have been throwing up alternative names they'd rather see across from him, including Bhagyashri Borse, Mamitha Baiju and Wamiqa Gabbi. None of these are reported as active contenders by anyone close to the project. They're just the internet doing what it does when a big film has an open slot and nothing official to argue about.
Bloody Romeo carries a fair bit of expectation already. It's Nani's first film after The Paradise, and that alone guarantees eyeballs on every casting whisper attached to it. An action drama from Sujeeth, who's shown he can stage big set pieces, only adds to the curiosity about who ends up playing opposite the lead.
On the production side, the details are firmer than the casting talk. Niharika Entertainment, run by Venkat Boyanapalli, is bankrolling the film, and Pravin Lakkaraju has been signed on for the music. Beyond that, the makers have kept things close to the chest, which is exactly the kind of silence that lets a rumour like this one travel.
For now, Meenakshi Chaudhary's involvement stays unconfirmed. Whether the makers step in to settle the speculation before Nani actually reports to set, or let it simmer a while longer, should become clear once Bloody Romeo moves from pre-production chatter to an actual announcement.
