Kaleen Bhaiyya's gang isn't slowing down. Mirzapur: The Movie pulled in Rs 16 crore net in India on Monday across 10,570 shows, according to industry tracker Sacnilk, taking its domestic total to Rs 109.75 crore and its worldwide gross past the Rs 154 crore mark. That's four days in, and the curve is still pointing up.
The number that'll get people talking, though, is the comparison to Toxic. Bollywood Bubble reported that Mirzapur earned roughly double what Geetu Mohandas' Yash-starrer collected on its own fourth day, a notable reversal given how Toxic opened. That film had a monster Day 1 of Rs 101.10 crore net, more than four times what Mirzapur opened to. But openings and legs are different sports, and Mirzapur is winning the second one right now.
Where it sits in the 2026 race
Context matters here. Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Border 2 remain the two biggest Hindi releases of the year, and Mirzapur's Monday numbers came in lower than both of theirs, per the same report. What it did manage was to leapfrog Bhooth Bangla, currently sitting third on that list, at least on the day's collections. Whether that translates into overtaking Bhooth Bangla's total is a separate question, one the coming week should answer.
The film's opening weekend was steady rather than spectacular: Rs 25.75 crore on Friday, Rs 32 crore on Saturday, Rs 36 crore on Sunday. No single day exploded, but there was no dip either, which is arguably the harder trick to pull off for a franchise this well known. Monday occupancy in Hindi cinemas held at 38.65%, respectable for a fourth day.
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur: The Movie carries over the show's core cast, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu among them, alongside Ravi Kishan, Jitendra Kumar, Rasika Dugal, Sheeba Chadha and Abhishek Banerjee. Shriya Pilgaonkar, Shweta Tripathi, Harshita Gaur, Sonal Chauhan, Rajesh Tailang, Sushant Singh, Mohit Malik and Kulbhushan Kharbanda round out an ensemble that's had three seasons to build a following on Prime Video, with a fourth season already in the works.
Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment presented the film, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It released on September 4 in Hindi, with a Telugu-dubbed version running alongside.
The real test comes this weekend, the second one, when word-of-mouth either holds an audience or lets it drift toward whatever opens next. Mirzapur has cleared its first Monday. The second Friday will say more about where it lands on that 2026 chart.
