Mirzapur The Movie didn't slow down after its holiday-boosted opening. It sped up. The film added ₹32.78 crore net on its first Saturday, per official numbers reported by Koimoi, pushing the two-day India total to ₹60.89 crore net, which works out to ₹71.85 crore gross. Add the overseas number, ₹9.5 crore, and you're at ₹81.35 crore worldwide inside 48 hours.
That Saturday number matters beyond the raw total. It's Bollywood's fourth-biggest first Saturday of 2026, ahead of Ajay Devgn's Dhamaal 4, which managed ₹23.31 crore on its own Saturday. Only Awarapan 2, at ₹34.09 crore, sits above it this year. For a film that opened on a Janmashtami Friday, that's the number everyone in the trade was watching, because Saturdays after a holiday release usually dip rather than climb.
Instead it climbed. 123telugu, filing early estimates before the official figures landed, had pegged Saturday somewhere between ₹31 crore and ₹33 crore, close enough to what Koimoi's later official count confirmed. The site called it a superhit already on the strength of that jump, noting collections rose even in circuits where the holiday effect should have cooled things down by Saturday. Whether it earns the blockbuster tag, they said, now hinges on how Monday, the first proper working day, holds up.
The Telugu-dubbed version is riding along quietly. It added ₹28 lakh on day two and has contributed ₹58 lakh of the two-day net total, with the Hindi original accounting for the rest, ₹60.35 crore of it. Not the story here. The Hindi heartland response is.
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and carrying the entire Mirzapur ensemble back to the big screen, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Rasika Duggal and Shweta Tripathi among them, the film is now on track to cross ₹100 crore net either later today or tomorrow, on day three or four. Koimoi's projection has it clearing that mark without needing a Sunday miracle.
What happens after is where it gets interesting for the trade. Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan's Haiwaan opens this Friday, September 11, but nobody expects it to dent Mirzapur's run in any serious way. Koimoi's read is that the film should still comfortably clear ₹200 crore net, and that its only real test on the calendar is Drishyam 3, which doesn't arrive until October 2. That's nearly a month of clear road.
So the question for the next few days isn't whether Mirzapur The Movie gets to 100 crore. It's how far past 200 it goes before Drishyam 3 shows up to complicate the math.
