Eight days out from release, The Paradise is turning into a numbers game in the US.

Distributor Prathyangira Cinemas has confirmed bookings across 150-plus Cinemark theatres, 145-plus Regal locations and 208-plus AMC screens for the Nani and Kayadu Lohar starrer, according to an update shared by the distributor on social media Tuesday. That's already past 500 locations, and the count is still climbing.

Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise is a period action drama that has been building expectations through its promotional run, and the overseas push suggests the makers are betting big on the diaspora audience showing up in force. Prathyangira's own post called it one of their biggest releases in the pipeline, with most Cinemark screens already live for advance bookings and the rest expected to open by this weekend.

But not every confirmed theatre has tickets on sale yet. AMC, despite its 208-plus count, is holding off until the film's content reaches Qube, the digital cinema distribution platform that most American multiplexes route their prints through. Regal and other chains are in a similar spot, still adding locations and showtimes even as the base numbers look strong on paper.

So the gap between theatres confirmed and theatres actually selling tickets is the story right now. It's a fairly routine bottleneck for big Telugu releases heading West, where content delivery timelines often lag behind the marketing push, but it does mean fans checking booking apps this week might find a theatre listed with no showtimes attached to it just yet.

What it signals, though, is scale. A 500-plus screen count for a Telugu film in the US puts The Paradise in the company of the genre's bigger overseas openers, and Nani's fanbase abroad has shown up for less. Kayadu Lohar's casting alongside him has also kept the promotional cycle busy, though the bulk of the online conversation this week has stayed fixed on logistics rather than the trailer or the songs.

Expect the AMC and Regal numbers to firm up through the rest of the week as content clears Qube and the remaining Cinemark screens go live. The real test starts once bookings are actually open everywhere and audiences start converting those confirmed locations into ticket sales, which is the number that will actually tell distributors whether the bet paid off.

Release is just over a week away. The next update to watch for is whether that 500-plus tally holds, or grows further before opening day.
