Amazon Prime Video has greenlit a second season of Neagley, the Reacher spinoff starring Maria Sten, just days after its debut. The series racked up 40 million viewers in its first 13 days — making it the fourth most-watched original series launch in Prime Video history, and drew 52% of its audience from outside the US. That’s not bad for a show that only dropped all eight episodes at once on October 1. The renewal comes hot on the heels of Amazon’s announcement that Reacher itself is getting a sixth season while Season 5 is still in production. So yes, Jack Reacher is back. Again, but this time, the spotlight’s on Frances Neagley. She’s not just a sidekick anymore. She’s the lead. And she’s already got her own momentum. Sten plays the former U.S. Army Master Sergeant and private investigator with a dry wit and a deep aversion to touch. Yes, she’s haphephobic, and no, that doesn’t stop her from being lethal. Her character was introduced in Lee Child’s 2002 novel Without Fail, where she was one of the few people Reacher trusted completely. On screen, she’s now the anchor of her own world, with Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman rounding out the cast. Alan Ritchson returns as Reacher, but only as a guest star. Peter Friedlander, head of global TV at Amazon MGM Studios, called Sten’s performance ‘commanding’ and said audiences have embraced Neagley as a force in her own right. Whether the next season leans into her past, her trauma, or her next case remains to be seen. But one thing’s clear: the franchise isn’t slowing down. And if you’re still catching up on Reacher, you’ve got until Season 4 to get ready. Then it’s Neagley’s turn. No more waiting. Just action. And maybe a little silence, because she doesn’t like being touched.
