The Christmas spirit isn’t dead — just rerouted to a stop-motion version of Penny Proud. Disney+ has dropped the trailer for A Proud Family Wizmas, a holiday special that’s less about peace on earth and more about one girl accidentally destroying it. The animated spin-off, streaming November 14, 2026, sees Kyla Pratt’s Penny go from ranting about commercialized holidays to stepping into Santa’s red suit after he quits in a huff.
Cue the elves. Cue the chaos. Cue Anderson.Paak as a mall elf with a vibe. The special is a stop-motion affair from Portland-based HouseSpecial, with music by Kurt Farquhar and six new songs.
It’s not just a festive fix, it’s a full-on reinvention of the season, led by David H. Brooks and Bruce W. Smith. And yes, Cedric the Entertainer’s Uncle Bobby is back, because some things never change. But what happens when the real Santa’s gone? That’s the question.
And it’s coming to Disney+ in under two weeks.
