Ranabaali’s ₹82 crore theatrical run and ₹85 crore non-theatrical haul have sparked debate — less about the film itself, more about what it means for Vijay Deverakonda’s box-office trajectory. The Telugu star’s latest, a period drama with a name that sounds like a curse, has officially entered the Super Hit zone in its home states, but the numbers tell a story that’s not quite clean-cut.
Trade estimates place worldwide collections at ₹82 crore, with an additional ₹85 crore from digital, satellite, and other rights, a figure that pushes the film’s total commercial footprint beyond the theatre gates. That’s a rare double-digit win for a project that faced early cold shoulders from overseas critics and underperformed in North America.
Still, the film pulled strong legs in Telugu-speaking regions, where it reportedly recovered its costs and then some. Tamil Nadu contributed around ₹1 crore from the Telugu version alone, raising questions: could a simultaneous Tamil release have changed the game? Or was the market simply too saturated? The answer isn’t clear.
