Rahul Sankrityan called it 130 days of madness, and honestly, that tracks for a pan-Indian period drama. The director confirmed on Wednesday that shooting on Ranabaali has wrapped, closing out a schedule that has run since the start of the year and pushing the film squarely into post-production.

This is the one everyone's been circling. Ranabaali marks the first film Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have shot together since their wedding, and that alone has kept the promotional drip-feed working overtime. Every teaser frame, every poster, has been read twice over for what it says about the two of them on screen versus off it.

Sankrityan shared the wrap with a video on social media, tagging the film's handle along with Mythri Movie Makers, Deverakonda and Mandanna. "And that's a wrap to the 130 days of madness with my relentless and restless army," he wrote, which is either a director being sentimental or a director who genuinely needed a break. Possibly both.

The film is a period drama, and going by what's been shown so far, not a small one. Mythri Movie Makers is backing it at what's being described as a massive budget, with the project positioned as a proper pan-Indian release rather than a Telugu title dressed up for other markets. Sankrityan, who made his name with Taxiwaala and then Shyam Singha Roy, is directing.

On the antagonist front, Telugu360 has reported that Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo plays the main villain, a casting choice that fits the film's cross-border ambitions if it holds up once the full cast list is out. That detail hasn't been echoed elsewhere yet.

Music is being handled by the National Award-winning duo Ajay-Atul, and the first single, Endayya Saami, has already landed with the teaser buzz still fresh. The full version of that track is expected soon, per the makers, which should give the promotional cycle its next real bump before the trailer drops.

October 16 is the date to watch. That's Dasara weekend, historically one of the more competitive release slots in Telugu cinema, and it's the window Ranabaali has been aimed at since the first announcement. With the shoot now done, the team is treating that date as locked rather than aspirational, which is more than most productions can say at this stage.

For Deverakonda, who's had a mixed run at the box office lately, a Dasara release with this scale of buzz behind it is exactly the kind of shot he needs. For Mandanna, it's a chance to headline opposite her husband in a film big enough to match the moment. Promotions are expected to kick off properly once post-production clears the next stretch, and that's when the real noise starts.
