Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana: Part One is now set to hit Indian screens on November 5 — a shift from the earlier Diwali window. The change, reported by Pinkvilla and picked up by Filmfare, moves the release forward by three days, with paid previews scheduled for November 4 across India and North America. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana. It’s being rolled out globally on November 5 in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Germany, and most of Europe and Latin America. The UK, South Africa, and Mauritius will follow on November 6. China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong remain unconfirmed. The film was shot for IMAX and features music by Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman. Part Two is expected in 2027. No official announcement has been made yet. The project, backed by Prime Focus Studios, DNEG, and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, aims for a global rollout. The shift raises questions about how early marketing momentum might affect box office performance, especially with other major releases looming. But one thing’s clear: the epic is no longer waiting for Diwali.
