Rashmika Mandanna is done filming her portions in Ranabaali. Mythri Movie Makers confirmed the wrap on Saturday with a video from the sets, showing the cast and crew gathering around her for what looks like a proper send-off, hugs and all.

She plays Jayamma in the film, a character built into a period action drama set across British India between 1854 and 1878. The makers say the story draws on real historical events from that stretch, though how closely it follows any specific incident hasn't been detailed yet.

Ranabaali is headlined by Vijay Deverakonda opposite Rashmika, with South African actor Arnold Vosloo rounding out a cast that's meant to carry the film beyond the Telugu market. Rahul Sankrityan directs, and the scale of the project shows in who's attached to it: Ajay-Atul on music, Nirav Shah and Jishnu Bhattacharjee sharing cinematography duties, and a trio of international action choreographers, Yannick Ben, Andy Long Nguyen and Robin Subbu, handling the fight sequences.

A teaser that's already done its job

The wrap news lands days after the film's teaser went up and promptly sat at the top of YouTube's trending list, which is the kind of number the marketing team will keep repeating right up to release. Mythri's own post on X leaned into that momentum, tagging the teaser's response as phenomenal and reminding fans that the song Endhayya Saami is coming soon.

What the wrap actually changes is the production timeline. With Rashmika's schedule cleared, Ranabaali moves fully into post-production, and there's real pressure on that process given the release date sitting on the calendar: October 16, timed to Vijayadashami. That's a five-week runway from today, tight for a film this heavy on VFX and action choreography, but not unusual for a pan-India release chasing a festival date.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, and presented by T-Series through Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar, Ranabaali has the backing to hold a festival slot even if post-production runs close to the wire. Vijayadashami releases carry their own weight in Telugu cinema, and a period actioner with this cast isn't going to want to give that date up without a fight.

For now, the film has a finished lead performance from Rashmika, a teaser that's already trending, and roughly five weeks to turn edit and effects work into a theatre-ready cut. Whether the makers drop a trailer before that October date, and how much of Jayamma's arc survives the final cut, is what fans will be watching for next.
