The Trocadéro runway also doubled as a decade-mark celebration for Anthony Vaccarello, who took over the house's design reins ten years ago.
Anthony Vaccarello picked a fitting spot to mark ten years as Saint Laurent's creative director. Tuesday night's Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear show unfolded at the Trocadéro, Eiffel Tower lit up behind the runway, with a guest list that read like a cross-industry roll call.
Rosé showed up. So did Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kate Moss and Post Malone, who brought fiancée Christy Lee along. Zoë Saldaña, Rami Malek and Donatella Versace were in the crowd too, and Eddie Redmayne sat with wife Hannah Bagshawe.
The front row kept going. Carla Bruni and Catherine Deneuve, two names that have followed Saint Laurent through several creative eras, turned up alongside a younger set: Natalia Dyer, Laura Harrier, Iris Law, Amelia Gray Hamlin, Georgia May Jagger, Gabbriette. Mark Ronson was there. So were Adele Exarchopoulos, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Evan Ross, Mason Thames, Belmont Cameli, Archie Madekwe and Alisha Boe.
On the runway itself, Vaccarello leaned into the house's usual mood. Black tailoring dominated, cut through with lace and sheer panels, and the silhouettes stayed sharp and a little theatrical, the kind of thing Saint Laurent has built its whole identity around since Vaccarello arrived.
Ten years is a long run for any single designer at a heritage house, especially one where the founder's name still carries so much weight decades after Yves Saint Laurent stepped away. Vaccarello's tenure has largely stuck to a lane, dark, structured, a bit severe, and Tuesday's show didn't look like a departure so much as a victory lap.
What it does confirm, again, is that Saint Laurent's guest list has become as much a draw as the clothes. A show that mixes Kate Moss with Post Malone and Rami Malek with a K-pop headliner isn't chasing one demographic. It's chasing all of them at once, and Paris Fashion Week gives it the stage to do that in one sitting.
The rest of the week's shows carry on through early October, with houses still to unveil their own Spring/Summer 2027 lines. Whether any of them pull a guest list quite this broad remains to be seen, but Saint Laurent has set a fairly high bar for star wattage this season.
