Festivals have a way of pulling old teams back together, and Ganesh Chaturthi did exactly that for the cast of Chumbak.

Sandeepa Dhar kicked off her day at co-star Arjun Bijlani's residence, where a floral-decked Ganpati idol had pride of place. Dressed in yellow, she was photographed mid-prayer and captioned the moment simply, "Gannu ji."

The visit turned into something bigger than a quick darshan. Bijlani's home became the meeting point for the Chumbak family, and Sandeepa posted a group selfie with him, Neena Gupta, Helly Shah and Delnaaz Irani. Everyone in the frame looked like they'd slipped straight back into old rhythms. "My Chumbak's," she wrote, and it read less like a caption and more like an inside joke only the five of them would fully get.

That sense of reunion tracks with how Sandeepa has spoken about the show before. She's called the experience a kind of sisterhood she'll hold onto, and Thursday's photos backed that up. There was nothing staged about it. Just five actors, a Ganpati idol and a shared history that clearly hasn't faded.

From there, Sandeepa made her way to Lalbaugcha Raja, one of Mumbai's most visited Ganpati pandals and a fixture for anyone doing the rounds during the festival. She shared a picture of the idol with a short note of thanks, calling it a blessed visit.

Between the house visit and the pandal stop, Sandeepa's day captured what Ganesh Chaturthi tends to look like for working actors in the city. Part ritual, part reunion, part logistics. Crowds outside Lalbaugcha Raja routinely run into hours-long queues, so a celebrity detour there still counts as a proper pilgrimage rather than a photo-op drive-by.

What stood out more than the prayers, though, was how easily the Chumbak cast slotted back together. Shows wrap, actors move on to other projects, and cast WhatsApp groups usually go quiet within a year. This one clearly hasn't. A festival gave them an excuse to show up in the same room again, and by the look of the pictures, nobody needed much convincing.

No word yet on whether the group has plans beyond the festival, but if the caption is anything to go by, this isn't a one-off reunion.
