Shraddha Kapoor took a short break and made sure everyone knew about it, without actually confirming anything. On Sunday she posted a photo dump from a getaway with Rahul Mody, the writer she's been rumoured to be dating for a couple of years now, captioned "Chhoti si chhutti toh banti hai na???"

The slides do what Shraddha and Rahul posts always do. Mostly her, one frame of him. This time it's Rahul buried in a book at what looks like a library, sandwiched between shots of Shraddha, some food and a few stores she clearly stopped at. Filmfare's report identifies the trip as Thailand and points to a mango sticky rice shot as evidence. Bollywood Bubble's version of the same post says she kept the location under wraps entirely. Neither Shraddha nor Rahul has said where they actually were, so take your pick.

What hasn't changed is the couple's approach to all this. They've been linked for a long stretch now, spotted together often enough that nobody's really asking anymore, but they've never sat down and said the word 'dating' out loud. The posts do the talking instead. A library photo here, a half-turned face there. It's become its own kind of confirmation, the sort fans have gotten used to reading between the lines of.

On the work side, Shraddha's calendar is full. She was last on screen in Stree 2 opposite Rajkummar Rao, and she's now deep into Eetha, the Dinesh Vijan-produced, Laxman Utekar-directed film that was originally supposed to land in August. That release has since moved to December 4.

Eetha marks her first film alongside Randeep Hooda, who plays her love interest this time around. She's playing Vithabai, in what's understood to be a biopic centred on Vithabai Narayangaonkar, the Marathi folk artist known for her work in Lavani and Tamasha, two performance traditions that run deep in Maharashtra's cultural history. Bollywood Bubble describes the film as "bold and emotionally charged," which tracks given the subject.

So a holiday now, before the December push begins. Whether Shraddha and Rahul ever put a label on things publicly is anyone's guess at this point, they've managed two years of hints without doing it. The bigger date to watch is December 4, when Eetha actually opens and we find out if Shraddha-as-Vithabai lands the way Vijan and Utekar are betting it will.
