Sylvester Stallone is back in Tulsa — and this time, he’s watching himself on screen. The actor, who’s been busy juggling Tulsa King Season 4 and a new spin-off with Samuel L. Jackson, admitted to feeling something close to déjà vu while viewing I Play Rocky, the upcoming biopic where Anthony Ippolito plays him at the start of his career. 'It’s the 50th anniversary and I’m looking kind of like at an avatar of me,' Stallone told Extra. He called the film ‘inspirational’, not because it’s about fame, but because it captures the hunger that drives people to risk everything for a shot. 'Even learn how to write,' he added, as if recalling his own early days. That same hunger, he says, still fuels Dwight Manfredi in Tulsa King. Season 4, premiering October 16 on Paramount+, sees the mob boss facing three layers of chaos: New York gangsters, AI tech geniuses, and a rogue maniac. 'Frustrating. Sometimes sad. Infuriating,' Stallone said. But there’s hope. 'he comes up with a shocking, clever end.' And then there’s Scarlet Stallone, who’s stepping into her own. Her character Spencer evolves from barista to something 'wholly other' this season. 'I know everything,' she tells him. 'Don’t tell me, you know it’s not the same as when you were young.' Father-daughter energy, yes, but also a shift in power. Season 5 starts filming in two weeks. And Sly? He’ll drop in on Frisco King, Jackson’s new series. No details yet. Just the promise: 'a few episodes'. Meanwhile, memories of Dolly Parton linger. 'One in eight billion,' he called her. They laughed until she got dizzy during Rhinestone takes. 'Mission accomplished,' he said. 'It was supposed to be nonsense. Fun. What were you expecting?'
