Marvel Zombies is back — and this time, it’s Halloween. Not just once, but three times. The animated horror spin-off of the MCU has officially been greenlit for a trilogy of specials, with the first dropping on Disney+ next October. The Winter Soldier. The Fist of Khonshu. The Last Guardian. Each title suggests a different kind of bite, and a different kind of dread. The series returns in 2027, with the second installment set for 2028, and the final chapter arriving in 2029. No more four-episode arcs. This is full-on undead escalation. And yes, it’s still voiced by the same MCU stars who brought their characters to life last year: Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, Dominique Thorne. And even Blade, now part of the pantheon, voiced by Todd Williams. The premise remains unchanged: after the Avengers fall to a zombie plague, survivors race across a ruined world to find a cure. But now, they’re doing it in seasonal installments. That’s not a stretch. It’s a plague. Meanwhile, Peter Parker’s origin story gets another swing. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 lands on Disney+ on January 13, 2027. Hudson Thames returns as the web-slinger, now under the mentorship of Norman Osborn, yes, the Green Goblin himself. Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy, and Charlie Cox are back. The alternate timeline twist. No Tony Stark, just Oscorp’s shadow, was already a bold move. Now it’s getting a second season. So what’s next? A crossover between the two? A zombie Norman Osborn? Or will the zombies finally eat the timeline itself? One thing’s certain: the MCU’s animation slate is no longer just for kids. And if you’re waiting for a Spider-Man film that isn’t tied to a streaming schedule, well… you’re not alone. But the clock’s ticking. The next release date is already set.
