Suhana Khan lip-syncs to Ed Sheeran’s part in 'Tu Mil Jaaye' — and Shah Rukh Khan replies with a laugh. The father-daughter moment is the latest spark ahead of King's December 24, 2026 release.
Suhana Khan just gave fans a front-row seat to the making of King — and Shah Rukh Khan, ever the showman, turned the moment into a full-blown family joke. On November 5, she shared an Instagram video capturing her getting ready for Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party, transitioning clean into a glam look while lip-syncing to Ed Sheeran’s part in ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’.
The clip, captioned “One more time ❤️,” was a playful nod to the song that dropped on November 2, the day Shah Rukh Khan turned 61. It wasn’t just a fan moment. It was a signal: Suhana Khan is stepping into the spotlight with her first theatrical film, and her father is watching every move.
Within hours, SRK responded in the comments with a laugh: “How do you remember the words!!! It was so difficult for me because Ed sings so fast!!!” The line went viral not just for its humor but for what it implied, a daughter mastering a lyric that even the King of Bollywood found tricky.
Fans had already spotted her in a blink-and-miss cameo during the song’s choreography, confirming her role in the film. Now, the buzz has deepened. This isn’t just another star-studded thriller. It’s Suhana’s debut on the big screen after her Netflix outing in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023).
And this time, she shares the frame with her father in a theatrical release, something no one in the family has done before. Directed by Siddharth Anand, who last teamed with SRK on Pathaan, King promises high-octane action blended with romance. The cast includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Raghav Juyal.
Music is by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. With a December 24, 2026, release date set, the countdown has begun. Celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, and Aryan Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Larissa Bonesi also reacted to the video, some calling it “cute,” others “loveeeeeee.” But the real story isn’t just the reaction.
It’s the quiet confidence in a young actor stepping into a legacy, and her father, the man who once said he’d never act with his kids, now laughing at how fast she can keep up. The next scene? The theatre doors opening on December 24.
