Swift and Travis Kelce arrived hand in hand at 1587 Prime, the restaurant Kelce co-owns with his Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, for Mahomes' 31st birthday celebration, according to Just Jared, which cited fan video from the scene. Mahomes had actually turned 31 the day before, on Thursday, but the party ran a day late, spilling into Friday's dinner.
Swift showed up in a strapless black midi dress with a pointed neckline, hair down, bangs in place, carrying a small black bag. Kelce matched her energy in an olive green set, short-sleeved shirt and shorts. Nothing showy, nothing that screamed red carpet. Just two people walking into a restaurant they've clearly made a regular stop.
And that's the part worth noting. This was Swift's second publicized visit to 1587 Prime in under a week. Days earlier she'd worn a different black midi dress for a similar outing, with Kelce in a brown outfit and, in a small detail that tells you everything about how comfortable this all is now, a 1587 Prime cap.
The timing lines up with the Chiefs' calendar too. Kansas City faced the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, so Friday's dinner doubled as pre-game downtime for Mahomes and Kelce before the real business of the weekend. Birthday first, football after.
None of this is new territory for Swift and Kelce as a couple, they've been photographed at Chiefs games and Kansas City haunts for a while now. What's changed is the frequency. Two appearances at the same steakhouse inside a week suggests 1587 Prime has become something like their spot, the place they show up when they're not trying to be seen and end up photographed anyway.
Mahomes' birthday dinner also pulled in the wider Chiefs circle, though Just Jared's report focused on Swift and Kelce's entrance rather than who else was at the table. Brittany Mahomes, Patrick's wife, wasn't mentioned in the coverage of the night itself.
For now, the bigger story is the season ahead. The Chiefs' Sunday matchup against the Colts was always the actual point of the weekend, birthday cake aside. Whether Swift shows up at 1587 Prime a third time before October is the kind of question Kansas City paparazzi are clearly happy to keep answering.
