Titans is finally coming to theatres — on October 22. The Malayalam fantasy comedy, starring Jayasurya and Vinayakan in their fourth on-screen pairing, has been pushed back from its original October 1 launch after the makers unveiled a full trailer on Wednesday. The delay isn’t just about timing. It’s a recalibration. The film, directed by Prince Joy and scripted by James Sebastian (Iyobinte Pusthakam), now arrives with a fresh rollout strategy, riding on the momentum of its first look. It’s not just another buddy-cop romp. Titans blends mythic absurdity with street-level satire, anchored by Jayasurya and Vinayakan’s chemistry, now a franchise staple after Chathikkatha Chanthu, Iyobinte Pusthakam, and the Aadu series. This time, they’re joined by Suresh Krishna, Indrans, rapper Baby Jean, social media star Nihal Nazim, and several newcomers. Cinematography by Vishnu Sharma, editing by Shameer Muhammed, and music by Dawn Vincent round out the crew. Midhun Manuel Thomas, Irshad M Hassan, and Pradeep CS are behind the camera as producers. The film’s new date comes amid a busy slate for Jayasurya: Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, Mayan – Chapter 1, and Operation Tral are all in various stages of post-production. But for now, the spotlight stays on Titans. The trailer dropped hard. No soft launch, no quiet build. Just spectacle, slapstick, and something that feels like a genre shift. Whether it lands depends on how much audiences want their fantasy served with a side of chaos. October 22 will tell.
