Todd Tucker isn't backing down. A day after his ex-wife Kandi Burruss put out a statement accusing him of "sensationalising" their sex life for a reality show payday, Tucker went on Streetz 94.5 and said, flatly, he doesn't see the problem.

Here's how we got here. Tucker's new show, 'Til Divorce Do Us Part, dropped a trailer with a scene where former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Peter Thomas asks him point blank if he and Burruss ever had threesomes during their marriage. Tucker didn't dodge it. "We did!" he says in the clip, adding that it happened for "most of their marriage."

Burruss wasn't having it. In a statement to PEOPLE, she said Tucker's decision to air that detail publicly only confirmed she'd made the right call by ending things.

"A man who has already hurt me to my core is furthering the damage by choosing to sensationalize our sex life to stretch his five minutes of fame," she said. "What consensually happens between a husband and wife in the privacy of their marriage is exactly that, private. His current behavior has only confirmed that I did the right thing by getting divorced. I Do, I Did, I'm Done!"

Tucker's response, on Streetz 94.5, leaned on a different argument entirely. He wasn't performing for the cameras, he said, he was just having a conversation. "I was real chill, it wasn't like I hyped it. It was a normal conversation." His bigger point, though, was that none of this is actually a secret. "If you've been talking about threesomes the whole time how are you saying it's private now. I did a scene. I haven't given out any new information. I'm not doing a tell all book. I'm just talking about my emotions and feelings as I went through it."

And that's not a throwaway line. A resurfaced clip from Burruss's old late-night show, Kandi Koated Nights, has been going around, and in it she's the one bringing up the topic. Asked by a fan whether a threesome could damage a relationship, she said the opposite happened for her. "I done had a threesome and it worked just fine," she said, adding, "and it worked great actually." When pressed on frequency, she stayed vague but did mention things had picked up in a particular six-month stretch.

So now it's a question of framing, not facts. Both of them agree the threesomes happened. What they don't agree on is who gets to decide when that detail stops being private and starts being content. 'Til Divorce Do Us Part is still rolling out, which means this argument probably isn't done either.
