The wildcard-entry rumour mill around Bigg Boss 20 just got a reality check, straight from inside the house.
In the show's newest promo, host Qazi Touqeer put contestants Mahhi Vij, Aman Gandhi and Uditi Singh on the spot with a simple question: what happens if your ex walks in as a wildcard? Aman didn't hesitate. "Nahi, wo nahi aa sakti," he said of Shagun Sharma, pointing out that she's currently busy with another Colors show, which makes a Bigg Boss detour unlikely.
Uditi took the longer route to the same conclusion. Without naming him, she made clear she wasn't expecting her alleged ex Karan Wahi to show up as a mid-season entrant. "Wo wildcard ban ke nahi aayega mere hisaab se. Wo aata to wo start se aata," she said, arguing that if he were ever meant to be a part of this season, he'd have been cast at launch, not smuggled in later as a twist.
She then leaned into the bit, joking about what she'd do if he somehow did turn up anyway. "Jaise main itne logon ko tolerate kar sakti hoon to phir usko to kar hi sakti hoon," she said, the kind of line that plays well on a reality show promo and tells you she's not losing sleep over the hypothetical.
Uditi used the moment to close the door on the speculation properly, clarifying she's moved on and currently likes someone else. According to her, whatever she and Karan Wahi had ended three to four years ago, though she hasn't put a precise date on the split.
The backstory here matters because it's not thin gossip. Uditi and Karan Wahi were reportedly together for around two-and-a-half years, a relationship that began, by her own account, after they connected on Instagram and got serious enough to talk marriage. That's a fair amount of history for a promo to be teasing.
Aman and Shagun's timeline is better documented publicly. The two confirmed their relationship in 2025, with Shagun saying they'd been seeing each other even before Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 brought them together on screen. Aman said in 2026 that they'd since split, though he maintains the split was amicable and they're still cordial.
Whether Bigg Boss 20's producers actually have a wildcard twist involving either ex is a separate question from what the contestants think should happen, and the show has a history of springing exactly the entries its inmates rule out. For now, both Uditi and Aman have said their piece on camera. What the makers do with that footage, and whether a wildcard announcement lands in the coming weeks, is still an open question the season hasn't answered.
