He's unsteady, stumbling as he moves, and looks nothing like the man fans are used to seeing crack jokes on screen. The clip's exact origin and date aren't clear, and there's been no statement from Srinivasan or anyone close to him explaining what's going on.

Fans have flooded comment sections asking the obvious question: what happened to him? Some say he looked unrecognisable in the footage. Nobody in his camp has confirmed or denied anything, so right now this is a viral clip and a lot of worry, not a diagnosis.

Srinivasan hasn't had a big screen presence in a while, though his old comedy scenes keep doing rounds on television and YouTube, which is probably how a whole generation of fans who never saw his films in theatres still know his face.
