Vishwambhara is eyeing a March 2027 release, pushing back against the earlier chatter that it might sneak in before Chiranjeevi’s Sankranthi-bound Kaaka. The film, a socio-fantasy directed by Vassisht and starring Chiranjeevi alongside Trisha and Ashika Ranganath, is now reportedly aiming for March 18 — or even earlier, to avoid the April 7, 2027 clash with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. That timing makes sense: a month between releases gives Vishwambhara breathing room in theatres without getting buried under Rajamouli’s juggernaut. No official date has been announced yet, but TeluguCinema.com, citing industry sources, says the window is narrowing. Meanwhile, Kaaka remains locked on January 13, 2027, with around 70% of shooting done and director Bobby targeting a December wrap. That leaves little room for another Chiranjeevi film to squeeze in before Sankranthi. So while fans are still buzzing about a possible rerelease of Mahaan, the real talk right now is about when Chiranjeevi’s next two films will land. And whether Vishwambhara can claim its own space before the dust settles on Varanasi.
