Zayn Marie, niece of Aamir Khan, has gone public with visible injuries after being detained by Mumbai Police during a protest at August Kranti Maidan on October 10. In a raw Instagram reel posted Sunday evening, she showed bruises and marks on her arms, fingers, and legs — then delivered a quiet, sharp line: ‘Don’t scare us so much that no fear is left in the first place.’ The video, shot inside a police van, quickly went viral, turning a political demonstration into a moment of personal reckoning for a young actor stepping into the spotlight not just as a relative, but as a voice.

She was held alongside actor Imran Khan and Lekha Washington, all released hours later after more than 400 people were detained across the city. Police cited lack of permission and said protests must be held only at Azad Maidan under Bombay High Court orders. But CJP sources claim they’d sent emails seeking clearance, no reply.

Lekha Washington shared clips from the van too: one showing them walking aimlessly on the road, denied transport. Another, calm, saying, ‘We’re safe. We’re fine. We’re going home.’ Zayn’s post wasn’t just about pain.
