Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas reunite for a family entertainer set for a worldwide release on October 30, after multiple date shifts.
A New Chapter in a Legendary Pairing
After years of anticipation, Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas are finally back on screen together — not as writer and actor, but as lead and director. Their reunion in 'Aadarsha Kutumbam House No. 47 – AK 47' is now confirmed for a global theatrical release on October 30. The film, produced by Haarika & Hassine Creations under S. Radha Krishna, marks the first time Trivikram has directed Venkatesh in a lead role.
The project had been delayed twice: originally slated for October 2, then moved to October 9 before landing on the final date. The latest announcement came on Dussehra, with the production house urging fans to circle the date. "Wishing everyone a very #HappyDusshera #AK47FromOct30th," they posted, adding that the film would be a "wholesome theatrical experience."
A Family Affair With a Twist
The story centers on Chittibabu, played by Venkatesh, a middle-class man whose life takes a comedic turn when he notices a smiling woman across the street. His wife’s lack of warmth becomes a running joke, setting up a narrative driven by domestic humour and light-hearted drama. Srinidhi Shetty plays Swarna, the woman who catches his eye, her character introduced via a teaser clip where she smiles shyly at another man, hinting at layered relationships.
The film’s title, unveiled last December, was initially referred to as 'Venky77'. The official name, 'Aadarsha Kutumbam', suggests a focus on ideal family values, though early promotional material leans into satire. The tagline from the teaser, "Ee Aadaliki Attitude thapa Gratitude undadhu!", translates to "These women only have attitude and no gratitude," underscoring the film’s comedic tone.
Cast and Crew
Alongside Venkatesh and Srinidhi Shetty, the ensemble includes Rohith Nara, Nivetha Pethuraj, Yuvina, Raj Prajwal, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Brahmaji, Udaybir Sandhu, Vennela Kishore, and Raghubabu. The technical team features Thaman S on music, Ravi K. Chandran on cinematography, Navin Nooli as editor, and Kevin Kumar handling action choreography.
Trivikram previously wrote dialogues and story for Venkatesh’s 2005 hit 'Nuvvu Naaku Nachav', which launched Aarthi Agarwal’s career. That earlier collaboration remains a fan favourite, raising expectations for this new venture.
With Diwali weekend looming, the film is positioned as a festive attraction. Promotional songs and teasers have already drawn positive reactions, suggesting a blend of emotion, comedy, and commercial appeal. The makers aim for a broad audience reach, families, young adults, and fans of classic Telugu entertainment.
October 30 isn’t just a date. It’s the beginning of a comeback story.
