Arjun Rampal has a new project on his plate, and it kicked off the way these things often do in this industry, with a mahurat puja on Navratri. The occasion marked the start of Billionaire, a Prime Video series that pairs two directors who have never worked together before: Hansal Mehta and Robbie Grewal.

The show is a business drama, and a big-scale one at that, according to Bollywood Hungama. Prabhleen Sandhu is producing under the Almighty Motion Picture banner. Shooting proper begins November 15 in the United Kingdom, where the team will spend 45 days on an extensive schedule. That's a long stretch for a single leg of production, and it suggests the makers are treating this as a prestige swing rather than a quick turnaround job.

Anubhav Chopra and Shantanu Sagara have written the series, with Karan Vyas handling dialogues. The premise, as described, revolves around ambition, power and the high-stakes churn of the business world. Not much else is out yet. No cast beyond Rampal has been confirmed, and there's no word on episode count or a premiere date.

Rampal took to Instagram to share the news himself, posting about the new beginning. He's riding a serious high right now. The Dhurandhar duology, directed by Aditya Dhar, has rewritten what a Hindi film can earn in a single run. The first part released in December 2025 and opened modestly before growing into a blockbuster. The sequel, Dhurandhar The Revenge, dropped in March this year and turned into something bigger still, crossing Rs. 1000 crore at the domestic box office alone. That makes it the highest-grossing Hindi film to date, per Bollywood Hungama's reporting.

Rampal's own turn as ISI chief Major Iqbal in the franchise drew plenty of praise, and it's clearly given him fresh momentum heading into Billionaire. Whether a streaming series can carry the same weight as a thousand-crore theatrical hit is a different question, but the pairing of Mehta and Grewal gives this one some built-in credibility. Mehta's track record with grounded, morally murky dramas is well known, and Grewal brings his own sensibility to the mix.

For now, the puja is done and the paperwork is signed. The real test starts November 15, when cameras actually roll in the UK. Prime Video hasn't said when viewers will see the finished product, and with a 45-day shoot still ahead, a 2027 release feels like the earliest realistic window.
