Prem Keetanu's soundtrack keeps growing, and its newest addition has B Praak's name on it.

The singer has lent his voice to 'Ishq Ka Ghulaam', a heartbreak track built around Veer Pahariya, composed by The Rish with lyrics by Kunaal Vermaa. It joins 'Undi Bundi', 'Kaho Toh' and 'Tu Mera Raiyyo' as the fourth song out from an album that runs to seven tracks in all.

What's striking is the sheer headcount on this one film's music. Sachet Tandon, Parampara Tandon, Armaan Malik, Papon, Jubin Nautiyal, Madhur Sharma, Altamash Faridi and Brijesh Shandilya all feature across the album, alongside rappers Little Bhatia and Mazemusicc. That's ten singers and two rappers for seven songs, a roster that reads more like a festival lineup than a film soundtrack.

B Praak arrives with a résumé built for exactly this kind of number. 'Mann Bharya', 'Filhall', 'Ranjha', 'Qismat', 'Kya Loge Tum' — he's been the voice Bollywood reaches for when a scene needs to hurt a little. 'Ishq Ka Ghulaam' is pitched at pain, longing, the whole vulnerability package.

Composer The Rish is leaning into old-school comparisons. "With 'Ishq Ka Ghulaam', we're bringing back the nostalgic 'bhai' vibe! I can guarantee that a song like this hasn't been made in a long long time... It will give you a nostalgia of the times when Sajid-Wajid would make heartbreak songs banger melodies. This is a song designed for a hero, and I'm so glad Veer Pahariya is the face of it. That's a big swing, invoking a composer duo whose heartbreak tracks defined a certain strain of 2000s Bollywood. Whether 'Ishq Ka Ghulaam' actually lands there is a different question, one the release will settle on its own.

Prem Keetanu itself, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and produced by Gaurav Verma under Avanika Films with Phars Films and Bhavana Studios, stars Pahariya alongside Aafiya Sayed, Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay. The story tracks a group of young people through friendship, first love, one-sided love and the heartbreak that tends to follow.

With three songs still to drop and the film opening worldwide on October 2, the marketing runway is long. Whether an album this loaded with voices ends up sounding cohesive, or just crowded, is the thing to watch as the remaining tracks land.
