The crime thriller added 20 crore on its first Tuesday to become Ajay Devgn's fourth highest grosser, with Drishyam 2 and a higher 2026 ranking now within sight.
Five days in, and Drishyam 3 is refusing to slow down the way most Bollywood releases do once the weekend crowd thins out. The film added 20 crore net on its first Tuesday, day 5, a dip of under 5% from Monday's 21 crore, taking its domestic total to 215.5 crore net. Gross, that's roughly 254.29 crore.
That number alone has rewritten a chunk of Ajay Devgn's career chart. Drishyam 3 has now gone past Golmaal Again's lifetime haul of 205.72 crore to become his fourth highest-grossing film at the Indian box office, trailing only Drishyam 2, Singham Again and Total Dhamaal depending on how you're counting. It's also the fifth Devgn film to cross the 200 crore mark, which on its own is a rare enough club in Hindi cinema.
The weekday hold is the real story here. Films built on word of mouth usually bleed hard once the opening weekend novelty wears off. Drishyam 3 hasn't. Even without joining the Blockbuster Tuesday discounted-ticket scheme that several multiplexes ran this week, footfall barely moved. For a sequel to a franchise that's already been adapted, remade and rewatched across languages, that's not a small thing.
What happens next is where it gets interesting for the scoreboard-watchers. Drishyam 2 sits at 241 crore lifetime, and at the current pace, Drishyam 3 could get there within days, which would make it the highest-earning entry in its own franchise and push it to the third spot on Devgn's all-time list.
There's a second race running alongside the first. On day 5, Drishyam 3 also crossed Bhooth Bangla's 199.23 crore to become Bollywood's fifth highest-grossing film of 2026 so far. Koimoi's tracking suggests it could overtake Mirzapur The Movie's 233.2 crore by Thursday, which would move it into fourth place for the year, a list that currently has Spider-Man: Brand New Day and a handful of Hollywood holdovers crowding the very top alongside Bollywood's own big swings this year.
None of this touches the online chatter around the film itself, where Jaydeep Ahlawat's performance has been getting singled out by viewers as one of the sharper additions to the franchise, a sign that word of mouth is doing real work beyond the opening weekend rush.
The real test is the second Wednesday and whether new-release competition starts eating into Drishyam 3's shows. Early estimates for day 6 advance bookings reportedly already cleared 5 crore, with trackers pegging it to challenge Devgn's second-biggest Wednesday ever. If that holds, the climb up both charts, his own and the 2026 league table, isn't done yet.
