Two days. That's how long Gayathri Suresh lasted inside the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 house before she was shown the door.
The actor's exit came through a spot eviction, and it's the earliest anyone has left the show, according to Filmibeat Malayalam. Past seasons have seen contestants voted out in the first week, but never on day two.
The twist is in how it happened. Housemates had initially picked Rini Anne George to leave. Jessica Parveen, who's leading the house this season, then reversed that call and sent Gayathri out instead. No reason for the reversal has been reported.
What followed was a wave of criticism online, most visibly a post by a Facebook user going by Shanu Kozhikode that Filmibeat Malayalam picked up and that's now doing the rounds. The post argues Gayathri didn't deserve the eviction and, more broadly, didn't deserve the trolling that's followed her career for years.
The post traces her arc: an easy, near-effortless entry into Malayalam cinema opposite Kunchacko Boban, a decent start, a later role alongside Tovino Thomas. Then, per the post, controversies away from the screen turned her into a recurring target for online trolls, to the point where even her appearance became fodder for jokes. The author calls this disproportionate, arguing that whatever minor issues existed got blown up far past their size, and admits to never engaging with a single one of those troll posts.
The note goes further, speculating that Gayathri may have been cast on Bigg Boss specifically because producers saw her as a draw for engagement, given how her name already pulls reactions online. It also praises how she handled the eviction itself. No tears, no visible anger at the people who've trolled her, just a clean exit. The post frames that composure as her defining trait and says the show, if it claims to pick
