The Clooney-Gerber friendship goes back more than three decades, to a bar in New York called The Whiskey that Rande Gerber used to run. George Clooney has described how the two men hit it off there in the early '90s. "We had a couple of drinks," he's said of it. "We started hanging out. We just enjoyed each other's company." That bond eventually turned into a business one too, when the pair launched the tequila brand Casamigos together.
So when word of Presley's passing reached George and Amal, the source says, they didn't wait around. They were spotted arriving at the Gerber home earlier in the week and have stayed close since, described as "helping with arrangements" and doing whatever else the family needs. The support isn't limited to Cindy and Rande. Their daughter Kaia has also leaned on the Clooneys, with the insider noting George has always been close to the Gerber kids.
