Hexed lands in North American cinemas on November 25, and already, the whispers are louder than the hype. Disney’s original animated fantasy is poised to open with a $35 million to $45 million three-day haul — a number that could climb to $70 million over the five-day Thanksgiving stretch. That’s not bad for an original film in a year where sequels dominate the box office.
But can it crack the top five domestic debuts of 2026? Not likely. Michael’s $97.2 million opening still stands as the benchmark. Even with the long weekend, Hexed won’t come close.
Still, it’s shaping up to be one of the strongest launches for an original animated feature since Moana. The film follows Billie, a rebellious teen who gets kicked out of school only to discover she’s part of a hidden world of witches. Her mother, Alice, isn’t just a parent, she’s a reluctant guardian of magic.
