Kartik Aaryan's 2026 silence ends with three 2027 releases: Naagzilla, Anurag Basu romance, Ladaku
Kartik Aaryan’s 2026 is silent. No film. Not a single one. For the first time in his 15-year career, the actor has vanished from theatres — only the third such gap since his debut, after 2012 and 2016.
But the quiet isn’t emptiness. It’s buildup. The storm hits early next year. Three films.
All within six months. All different. All stacked for impact. The first arrives February 12, 2027: Naagzilla.
A fantasy comedy where Kartik plays a shape-shifting naag. Ravi Kishan co-stars. Mrighdeep Singh Lamba directs. Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films produce.
It’s absurd. It’s bold. And it lands with a thud on the calendar. Two and a half months later, April 30, comes the pivot.
An untitled romance with Sreeleela. Directed by Anurag Basu. T-Series confirmed the date. The look alone has fans buzzing.
This is not the usual Kartik rom-com. There’s weight here. Music is expected to carry it. Then, June 18: Ladaku.
Reuniting him with Kabir Khan, the director of Chandu Champion, which earned him a National Award. This one’s real. Based on the life of Tajamul Islam, India’s youngest two-time world kickboxing champion. Kartik plays the coach.
Birla Studios and Kabir Khan Entertainment are behind it. And for the first time, he’s also producing, through Dopamine Studios. Three genres. Three release dates.
One actor. The comeback isn’t just coming. It’s already scheduled. The question now isn’t if he’ll return, but how many of these will stick.
