Turns out the mystery composer on Ravi Mohan's directorial debut isn't a mystery at all. It's Kenisha Francis.

The poster of I'm an Ordinary Man had listed the music credit under the name 'Hydro,' and that single word had been doing the rounds as a talking point ever since the film's first look dropped. In a recent interview alongside Ravi Mohan and Yogi Babu, Kenisha put the guessing game to rest.

"That 'Hydro' is nobody else, it's me," she said. "There was a lot of negative news about me floating around at that time, and we felt using my real name would only add to it. So we masked it."

She was quick to add that none of this affected her equation with the director. "Ravi and I are very close friends," she said, describing how she landed the composer's chair almost by accident. According to her account, the team was still hunting for a music director during story sessions when she kept chipping in with suggestions on the narration. Ravi Mohan apparently turned the tables on her mid-conversation, telling her she was the one with the good ideas and she might as well score the film herself.

That's not the only surprise the film is banking on. Kenisha also said audiences are in for a version of Yogi Babu they haven't seen before, hinting at a role that moves away from his usual comic-relief slot without giving away specifics.

For Ravi Mohan, who has produced films before but is stepping behind the camera for the first time with this project, the shift wasn't an easy call. "I was hesitant to take up direction in the beginning," he admitted. "But it was this film's team that gave me the confidence to make the switch. You only find out if something works once you actually try it." He said the process taught him plenty about his own instincts as a filmmaker, and that he'd had to unlearn a few things along the way too.

His crew, for what it's worth, seem to be enjoying working under him. Team members described a director who's on set by 6 am sharp, greets everyone with an "everything will turn out fine," and then largely lets his unit work with a free hand. Yogi Babu backed that up, saying he'd known for a while that Ravi Mohan would eventually direct and that the finished film reflects it. "You can tell his ability just from the way he's shot this," the comedian said, calling the final cut "terrific."

No release date has been confirmed yet for I'm an Ordinary Man. With the Hydro reveal now out and Yogi Babu's changed avatar being teased, the makers will likely lean on both hooks whenever they do lock a theatrical date.
