Khushbu Sundar calls out AI-morphed Janhvi Kapoor video: 'Today, it is her. Tomorrow, it could be me.'
The AI-morphed video of Janhvi Kapoor from Chuttamalle isn’t just a viral prank — it’s a flashpoint. And now, Khushbu Sundar has made it clear: this isn’t entertainment. This is digital violence. The actress-turned-politician slammed the circulating clip on X, calling it a ‘disturbing’ misuse of technology that crosses into violation.
She didn’t mince words: ‘Today, it is her. Tomorrow, it could be me.’ Her message? No one is immune. Not even those who’ve never been in front of a camera.
The clip, pulled from the Devara song, uses AI to superimpose Kapoor’s face onto footage not hers, no consent, no warning. It’s not just about the image. It’s about the silence that lets it spread. Khushbu’s post landed like a spark.
Already, Vijay Deverakonda and Jr NTR have spoken out. Both condemned the video. Deverakonda called it ‘deeply offensive’. Jr NTR issued a formal statement against the use of AI to morph celebrities.
Specifically naming Kapoor and himself. The backlash isn’t just personal. It’s systemic. These aren’t isolated incidents.
They’re symptoms of a deeper crisis: generative AI tools being weaponised to exploit women, often without legal recourse. The fear isn’t just reputational. It’s psychological. It’s about control.
About ownership of one’s image. Khushbu wants accountability. She’s demanding action, not just from platforms, but from lawmakers. She’s not alone.
But the question remains: will the industry act before the next face is stolen? Or will the next victim be someone we know?
