The couple confirmed the pregnancy on Instagram on Wednesday, more than a year after their daughter Saraayah was born in July 2025.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are having another baby. The couple put out the news themselves on Wednesday morning, a little after 11 am, with a joint Instagram post that showed a pair of knitted baby booties alongside daughter Saraayah.
"Blessed once again with the greatest gift of all. Our hearts are so full of love and gratitude," the post read.
It's the same format they used last year to announce Kiara's first pregnancy, right down to the soft-focus prop shot. Saraayah was born in July 2025, which puts the gap between the two kids at a little under two years if the timeline holds.
The comments section filled up fast. Karan Johar, who has mentored Sidharth since his modelling days, wrote "Love love you" with a string of hearts. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who co-starred with Kiara in Good Newwz, went with "Mommy and Daddy again yayyy." Rakul Preet Singh called it "such a lovely news" and asked for blessings on the couple. Athiya Shetty, Bhumi Pednekar, Manish Malhotra, Masaba Gupta, Mukesh Chhabra and Tahira Kashyap all dropped their own messages, and filmmaker Siddharth P Malhotra chimed in with a simple "Arey badhaai ho."
The speculation that preceded it
According to The Free Press Journal, chatter about a second pregnancy had been building for weeks. Kiara's appearance at the Ambani family's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Antilia on September 14 drew extra attention from paparazzi and fans, who read into her look that evening. Wednesday's post put that guessing game to rest.
Kiara and Sidharth met on the set of Shershaah, the 2021 film that remains one of the defining hits of both their careers, though they kept the relationship largely private until their wedding. They married in an intimate Hindu ceremony at Suryagarh in Jaisalmer on February 7, 2023.
Since becoming parents last year, both actors have kept a relatively low profile on the work front. Kiara's most recent release was Toxic, and she continues to be a recognisable name in Telugu cinema too, having featured in titles like Bharat Ane Nenu, Vinaya Vidheya Rama and turning point. Sidharth hasn't had a major theatrical release lately either.
Neither actor has announced a new project since the baby news broke, and there's no word yet on how this pregnancy might affect any work already in the pipeline. For now, the only confirmed update from the household is the one they posted themselves, a second child on the way and a two-year-old already stealing the spotlight in the announcement photo.
