Kim Kardashian’s latest legal drama isn’t just on screen. In the new trailer for All’s Fair Season 2, she jokes about failing the bar exam — again. Not in real life. On TV. But the line lands with a thud because it’s too close to the truth. 'Didn’t pass on my first try,' she says, deadpan, as her character Allura Grant sits across from Teyana Taylor’s mentee, Milan. The cast flinches. Not because it’s bad acting. Because it’s too familiar.

The joke is a callback to November 2025, when Kardashian officially failed the California Bar Exam, the same one she’d been preparing for since announcing her law ambitions in 2019. She’d already failed the ‘baby bar’ four times before finally passing in December 2021. Her path was unconventional: a six-year apprenticeship under California’s Law Office Study Program, completed in 2025. Now, she’s not a lawyer yet. But she plays one. On Hulu.

Season 2 drops November 4. It promises scandals, secrets, and a ‘shocking revelation’ that could bring down the all-female divorce firm. Naomi Watts, Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts. All back. New faces include Dorinda Medley and Denise Richards. The first season flopped with critics but pulled in 3.2 million views globally in three days. That didn’t stop Kardashian from posting negative reviews on Instagram, captioning them: ‘Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!?’

She’s still waiting to retake the bar. Insiders say 2027 is the earliest she’ll try again. For now, she’s trading courtroom theatrics for fictional ones. And somehow, the line between the two feels thinner than ever.
