Dorinda Medley’s acting debut lands with a bang — and a full cast list that reads like a Hollywood wish list. The former Real Housewives of New York City star has landed a role in Hulu’s legal drama All’s Fair, marking her first scripted TV appearance, and she didn’t get it through a casting couch or backdoor deal. She auditioned on a Friday. Got the part the next week. Filmed a week after that. 'Cold turkey,' she calls it. And yes, she almost died when she heard the news. Not from fear, from disbelief.

The role? A character described as ‘very well-suited to me.’ That’s all she’ll say. But fans will know it when they see it. The kind of role only Dorinda could pull off: sharp, unapologetic, instantly recognizable. No need for a name drop. Just a look. A line. A moment where you lean in and whisper, ‘Oh yeah, that’s her.’

And then there’s the company she keeps. Glenn Close. Kim Kardashian. Two names that don’t just book roles. They define them. ‘Leave it up to me to do my first role and it’s with Glenn Close and Kim Kardashian,’ Dorinda said. ‘Both incredibly fortunate but ridiculously scary.’

The show premieres November 4 on Hulu with three episodes. Season two is already shaping up to be a power move, not just for the series, but for the actors stepping into its orbit. Dorinda isn’t the only one making a pivot. Her reality TV return is also underway: The Golden Life, E!’s new series with Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Kelly Bensimon, drops October 20. There’s bickering in the trailer. Plenty of it. But as Dorinda put it: ‘We can argue, we can go through stuff. At this point we have gone through everything.’

So what happens next? The real question isn’t whether Dorinda can act. It’s whether she’ll stay in front of the camera. After all, she’s already made it nice. Now she’s doing something else entirely. And if she’s right about her character? The rest of us might just be ready to believe it too.
