The singer and her fiancé, tech entrepreneur Michael Polansky, were spotted with a newborn in Northern California, according to Page Six. Gaga, 40, carried the baby close while walking with Polansky, 42, dressed down in sunglasses and casual clothes. Neither has said anything official. No name, no sex, no date of birth. Page Six reported that representatives for the couple did not respond to a request for comment.

That silence is on brand. Gaga and Polansky have run their relationship almost entirely off the record since they got engaged in March 2024, an unusual choice for two people who could generate headlines by simply stepping outside.

The pregnancy chatter had been building for a while. Gaga wrapped her Mayhem Ball tour in April, a run that stretched nearly nine months and covered 86 shows, and then more or less vanished from the circuit she'd normally be working. She turned up briefly at The Grove in Los Angeles in May and again in August, when she stopped for a selfie with a fan in Northern California. Beyond that, not much. The San Francisco Chronicle had flagged the gap as a possible pregnancy signal, and this sighting is the closest thing to confirmation anyone's gotten.

Gaga has been open about wanting this, even if the timeline stayed private. She told The New York Times in March last year that starting a family was something she genuinely wanted, not a box to tick. Later, on The Stephen Colbert Show, she put it more theatrically, calling motherhood her next "starring role." It's the kind of line that sounds like a soundbite until you realise she's spent two decades being extremely online and chose to have this one thing happen without a rollout.

No studio-style announcement, no glossy magazine cover, no caption drop. Just a couple walking with their kid, caught by a camera they didn't invite.

Whether that changes is the open question. Gaga's between album cycles right now, with nothing on the release calendar that would force her hand. Polansky, who runs his own ventures outside the entertainment business, has even less reason to court attention.
