Soori’s Tamil sports drama Mandaadi has entered its fourth week at the box office, and though screen counts have dropped by half, the film remains on track to cross the 100-crore net mark in India — just ₹3.1 crore away from hitting the target. On its fourth Friday, the film collected ₹1.38 crore across 650 shows, with an occupancy rate of 45%. The national holiday on that day likely helped boost numbers, even as the film’s theatrical footprint shrank. After 23 days, its net total stands at ₹96.95 crore, translating to a gross of ₹114.4 crore in India. Overseas, it has nearly wrapped up with ₹17.7 crore in earnings, bringing the worldwide total to ₹132.1 crore.

The film, directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi and produced by Elred Kumar under RS Infotainment, stars Soori alongside Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, and Sathyaraj. It was theatrically released on September 10 and distributed by Red Giant Movies. According to Koimoi’s criteria, a film is considered a hit if it earns 100% profit on its net collections in India. With a reported budget of ₹50 crore, Mandaadi will be declared a hit once it crosses the 100-crore threshold. That milestone now appears likely to be achieved during the fourth weekend.

Interestingly, Mandaadi is outperforming Soori’s other recent release, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, despite the latter having a higher-profile rollout. This suggests that audience reception isn’t just about star power or marketing, it’s about substance. The film holds a strong 9.4/10 rating on BookMyShow, indicating sustained word-of-mouth momentum.

What happens next depends on how the final weekend plays out. With screens dwindling and competition rising, the film’s ability to maintain momentum will be tested. But for now, Mandaadi isn’t just surviving. It’s quietly building a legacy. And if it hits 100 crores? It won’t be a surprise. It’ll be earned.
