Mirzapur The Movie pulled in Rs 1.44 crore on Wednesday, its 21st day in theatres, taking the film's India total to approximately Rs 207.69 crore. That's a 28.36% drop from Tuesday's Rs 2.01 crore, the kind of weekday dip you'd expect three weeks into a run, but the film is still very much a fixture on screens.
The third week has moved in fits and starts. Friday brought in Rs 2.43 crore, Saturday climbed to Rs 3.63 crore, and Sunday touched Rs 3.83 crore, a standard weekend bump. Monday fell to Rs 1.72 crore, only for Tuesday to claw back 16.86% to Rs 2.01 crore before Wednesday's correction. It's not a straight line down, and that unevenness is probably the more interesting story than the topline number itself.
Go back further and the shape of this run gets clearer. Week one alone delivered Rs 143.57 crore. Week two added another Rs 48.75 crore, bringing the film to Rs 192.32 crore by the end of its second week. Week three has been the long tail, adding collections in the low crores rather than the double digits of the opening days, which is exactly how a film this size is supposed to age.
Bollywood Hungama had earlier flagged that the film's third Monday numbers made it the fourth-highest third-Monday grosser of 2026, ahead of Dhamaal 4. That's a small but telling marker. It suggests Mirzapur The Movie isn't just riding opening weekend hype and vanishing, it's holding audience interest well past the point where most films this year have started fading.
Wednesday wasn't a great day at the box office more broadly. Resident Evil, the Hollywood horror release currently in its first week, also cooled off on the same day, dropping 28.05% from Tuesday to collect Rs 1.18 crore, taking its India total past Rs 13 crore. Different film, different scale entirely, but the same weekday pattern, a reminder that Wednesdays in late September just aren't pulling footfall the way weekends do right now.
For Mirzapur The Movie, the real test is whether it can crack Rs 210 crore before the weekday grind wears it down further. At the current pace, that's within reach in the next couple of days. What happens after that, whether exhibitors keep the show count steady into a fourth week or start trimming shows for newer releases, is the next number worth watching.
