Mirzapur: The Movie, the theatrical spin-off of Excel Entertainment's streaming franchise, has pushed its worldwide gross to Rs 277.42 crore after 11 days in cinemas, according to estimates reported by Koimoi. Overseas alone has contributed Rs 47 crore of that, inching close to the Rs 50 crore mark on foreign screens.

The headline number isn't just the total though. It's what the film did in a single day to get there.

According to Koimoi's tracking, the last 24 hours saw the film, led by Pankaj Tripathi alongside Divyenndu and Ali Fazal, jump past three prior heavyweights in the all-time worldwide chart for Hindi cinema in one move. Salman Khan's Race 3 fell. So did the Hindi-dubbed runs of Kantara Chapter 1 and 2.0. Three films, one day, gone from ahead of Mirzapur to behind it.

That's a lot of ground covered for a title that started life as an OTT show about a small-town don's bloody rise. The film version has clearly found an audience willing to pay for a big screen instead of a subscription, and 11 days in, it shows no sign of slowing.

What's next is straightforward. Koimoi puts the film within touching distance of Mission Mangal and Raees, two more names on the worldwide leaderboard, saying Mirzapur needs less than Rs 11 crore to get past both. At the pace it's moving, that could happen within days rather than weeks.

The bigger number everyone's watching, obviously, is 300 crore worldwide. Sitting at 277.42 crore on day 11, the film needs roughly Rs 22-23 crore more to cross that line, and if the trend from the last 24 hours holds, that shouldn't take long either.

What makes this run notable is the shape of it. This isn't a film that opened big and is now coasting on inertia. It's still climbing rankings on day 11, still eating into the space held by films that were themselves considered box office landmarks. Kantara Chapter 1 in particular has been a reference point all year for what a well-marketed regional-to-national crossover can do, and its Hindi numbers getting overtaken by Mirzapur is the kind of detail trade watchers will keep flagging.

Excel Entertainment hasn't put out an official studio number to match the trade estimate, which is standard practice this early into a run, studios usually confirm milestones once a round figure like 300 crore is actually banked. For now, the film's own momentum is doing the talking, and the next update on this scoreboard is likely to arrive within 48 hours.
