That's a fairly heavyweight combination for a debut director's film. Mythri has a track record of pushing major Telugu releases wide, and pairing that reach with NVR's hold on the Ceeded circuit gives Sigma a distribution footprint most first-time directors don't get. Whether that translates to footfalls is a different question, but the theatrical machinery is now in place across all three Telugu zones.
Speaking of first-timers, Sigma marks the directorial debut of Jason Sanjay. 123telugu describes the film simply as an action-adventure, while Telugu360 has called it a heist thriller. Neither trade outlet's description lines up exactly with the other, so take your pick until the trailer clears things up, if it hasn't already for you.
One detail worth flagging separately: Telugu360 reported that Jason Sanjay is the son of Tamil Nadu chief minister Joseph Vijay. That claim doesn't appear anywhere in 123telugu's report, and CutMirchi hasn't independently verified it. Treat it as a single-source detail for now.
