Nani is done with his break after The Paradise, and his next, Bloody Romeo, is finally getting off the ground. Telugu360 reports that shooting formalities begin in October, with a large chunk of the film set to be shot in London.
The film is being mounted on a big budget, and Sujeeth, who's directing, is reportedly giving Nani a fresh, stylish look for this one. That's a departure for an actor who's built his career on the everyman charm of films like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo's little cousin roles and small-town dramas. Bloody Romeo is being pitched as an action drama with scale, and the London schedule suggests the producers, Niharika Entertainment, aren't holding back on production value.
The other big piece of casting news here is Prithviraj Sukumaran. The Malayalam star is set to play an important role in the film, according to Telugu360, which would mark another notable pan-Indian crossover for an actor who's been picking his Telugu and Hindi projects carefully over the past few years. As for the leading lady, talks are apparently on for Meenakshi Chaudhary to play the female lead opposite Nani, though Telugu360 is careful to frame this as buzz rather than a done deal.
