Netflix has picked up Nobody Wants This for a second season, with Adam Brody and Kristen Bell in the lead roles. The chief content officer of the streaming service disclosed that the plot of the show will carry over with its humorous lines and romantic moments even with the new writers on board.
Regarding the executive producer position, Eric Foster will continue to serve as the show's creative director.
The Netflix series' first season ended at the end of last month, leaving fans eager for more of the chemistry between Brody and Bell. The writers' identities are still a secret, but Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan have also joined the show as executive producers. Erin Foster, Sara Foster, Bell, Steven Levitan, and Oly Obst are among the other producers. The studio is called 20th Television.
Before the premiere of the first episode of the show in September, Konner and Kaplan had decided to each have a place at the table.
Reports state that Nobody Wants This was predicted to be among the most watched romantic comedy programs. The season began the first week at number two, but the next week it shot up to number one.
Nobody Wants This Season 2 Release Date
As of now, no tentative release date has been shared by the team of Nobody Wants This. However, it is okay to assume that the second season of the show will not return until the second half of 2025.
Creator Eric Foster Pours her Love for Nobody Wants This
Foster said that assuming the role of a creator on the program has been the highlight of her career in a statement she published before to the launch of the second season.
She elaborated, “The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed.”
Foster went on to remark that she feels fortunate to be able to carry on the story, particularly since she is doing so with Konner and Kaplan.
Netflix ordered Nobody Wants This in March 2023, and before the show's name was revealed, Craig DiGregoria and Foster agreed to serve as executive producers. But the series was on a very tight timeline, with only two months left in the five-month WGA strike. In January 2023, the actors and crew started recording the show in order to determine a release date.
