Netflix has picked October 22 for Kristen Bell and Adam Brody's rom-com to come back, dropping a clutch of first-look photos alongside the date.

Season two wrapped with Joanne and Noah recommitting to each other, and season three picks up right there. Per Netflix's official description, the couple is moving into a home and a relationship that "finally feels solid," working through the firsts that come with actually building a life together instead of just falling for one another.

Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn return as Sasha and Esther, back on the dating circuit whether they like it or not. Justine Lupe's Morgan gets a career jump that puts her on track to becoming what Netflix's own description calls an "almost" media sensation. And somewhere in the middle of all that, Sasha and Morgan are circling something neither of them has said out loud yet.

The new season brings in Andrew Rannells, Sarah Silverman, Shiloh Bearman, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Paul Ben-Victor and Tovah Feldshuh. Series creator Erin Foster, who usually stays behind the camera, is stepping into a guest role this time.

Foster created the show and executive produces alongside showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan. Bell, Sara Foster, Nora Silver, Steven Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk, Jeff Morton and Oly Obst, who produces for 3 Arts, round out the producing team, with 20th Television handling production.

The show is Emmy-nominated, and it has turned into one of Netflix's steadier comedy returns since its 2024 debut. Season two closed on Joanne and Noah choosing each other again, so a season built around domestic firsts, first shared address, first round of in-laws on repeat, tracks as the natural next chapter rather than a reset.

There's no trailer yet. Netflix has released only stills alongside the date, so the actual tone of season three, how much room Rannells and Silverman get, how the Sasha-Morgan storyline is played, stays a question until footage lands. October 22 falls on a Thursday, in line with how Netflix has scheduled the show's earlier seasons.

Whether the ten-or-so episodes drop all at once or in parts hasn't been said. For now, all anyone has to go on is a handful of photos and a premiere date circled a little over a month out.
