Phoebe Dynevor is married. The Bridgerton star confirmed on Thursday that she and producer Cameron Fuller wed on September 5 at an 18th-century chateau in Provence, France, keeping the whole thing under wraps until she was ready to talk about it.

"Married my best friend," she wrote on Instagram, alongside two black-and-white photographs, one of the couple walking hand in hand, another of them kissing.

The secrecy was apparently the point. In a British Vogue feature, Dynevor said there was something satisfying about pulling it off quietly. "It's really fun to have a secret that no one knows," she said, according to Extra TV.

The dress is the part everyone's talking about now that the pictures are out. Dynevor wore a custom Louis Vuitton gown designed by the house's womenswear director, Nicolas Ghesquière, a strapless silhouette with lace and sequin trim, a sweetheart neckline, a neck scarf and a cathedral-length silk veil. British Vogue reported the final piece took more than 600 hours to construct, built out of roughly 20 rounds of sketches before Ghesquière landed on the design.

Dynevor said she went in without a fixed idea of what she wanted and left the process almost entirely to him. "I wasn't sure how much control Nicolas wanted to have. I was very happy to put it in his hands, but when I realized that it would be a collaborative process, I was really excited and overwhelmed because I didn't have a specific thing in mind," she said. Seeing the finished sketch changed that. "It's sort of everything I wanted without realising it," she said.

She changed later in the night into a second look, a champagne slip dress with a nod to Kate Moss circa the 1990s.

Dynevor also credited planner Liz Linkleter Events and photography studio Taylor & Porter for the day, though the chateau itself is going unnamed. No address, no location tag. Given how long she managed to keep this quiet, that tracks.

She and Fuller met at Sundance in 2023. The engagement became public in 2024, not long after she was spotted wearing a ring at the Met Gala that year, which is usually all it takes for the internet to start counting down.

For Dynevor, the wedding lands at a strange overlap point. She's currently attached to M. Night Shyamalan's Remain opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, a supernatural romantic thriller co-written with Nicholas Sparks that's set for a February 2027 release, with a trailer already circulating online. So the next few months are going to have her doing double duty, fielding wedding questions on one side and press for a Shyamalan film on the other. Whether she addresses either beyond the Vogue piece and that Instagram caption is the only thing left open here.
