Premada Oorali is defying the usual post-festival fade, crossing ₹87 crore in 25 days with a steady ₹3.25 crore gross on Monday. The Kannada romantic drama, set in a rural village and following Naganna, a widowed farmer, and his son Santhu’s emotional entanglement with both Rukmini, an educated outsider, and Vasantha, his childhood friend, has found lasting appeal.
After collecting around ₹5 crore on Day 24 — pushing its total to ₹83.75 crore, the film saw a typical weekday dip on Monday but remains on track for the ₹100 crore club. Trade estimates suggest it could reach that milestone if current momentum holds. Its longevity speaks to a story that resonates beyond initial buzz, especially in regions where rural narratives still draw audiences.
The film’s quiet endurance stands in contrast to the more volatile box office performance of other recent releases. Meanwhile, Yami Gautam’s festive fantasy-comedy Nayyi Navelli, co-starring Addinath M Kothare and directed by Balaji Mohan, missed its first global milestone of ₹20 crore by a narrow margin after four days, ending at ₹19.42 crore worldwide.
