Ranabaali’s US pre-sales are limping into the final stretch, hitting just $13,125 across 150 locations and 269 shows — a mere 2.7% of Vijay Deverakonda’s last film, Kingdom’s, final advance haul. With the October 16 release just eight days away, the numbers aren’t promising. Kingdom had sold over 25,000 tickets in the US alone for its premiere, grossing $480K across nearly 264 venues. Ranabaali, by contrast, averages barely three tickets per show. That’s not a launch. That’s a whisper. And it’s happening in a window where Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is already looming like a monolith. The film, a period drama from Rahul Sankrityan with Rashmika Mandanna, is the third collaboration between Deverakonda and Mandanna after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. Music by Ajay–Atul adds to the pedigree, but so far, the audience hasn’t shown up. Canada’s advance sales haven’t even started, no comparison possible yet. Still, the gap is stark: to match Kingdom’s US pre-sale total, Ranabaali would need to grow 37 times. A festival weekend might help. But momentum isn’t built on hope. It’s built on ticket counters. The real test begins when more screens open. Until then, this isn’t a preview. It’s a warning.
