Ranbir Kapoor has a message for his Sita, and he delivered it in Telugu.

The actor recorded a special video for Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita opposite his Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, to be aired as part of her appearance on the talk show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa with Jagapathi, season two. The episode premieres on Telugu Zee5 on October 16, with Sai as the first guest of the new season.

In the clip, Ranbir keeps it simple. "Sai, what I admire most about you is your honesty," he says. "Every co-star should be lucky enough to share frame with someone like you. And when it came to Sita, I honestly can't imagine anyone else. People are going to see you in a whole new light and I can't wait for that."

He then switches language entirely, addressing his Telugu audience directly. "Mee premakee na dhanyavadelu," he says, thanking them for their love. Sai's reaction, going by the promo, was short and sweet. "How sweet!" she said.

It's a small gesture, but it lands at a useful moment. Ramayana has been building its Telugu-market push hard, and this is Ranbir speaking to that audience in their own language, something that doesn't happen often from a Bombay star gearing up for a pan-India release.

The trailer and the song released so far have already shown flashes of the Ram-Sita pairing, and the chemistry on screen has looked promising. What's left to see is how that holds up across a full film. Ranbir and Sai haven't shared screen space before this, and a mythological as tonally heavy as Ramayana leaves little room for a pairing that doesn't click.

There's also chatter, going by social media buzz reported by Free Press Journal, that a second trailer for Ramayana Part 1 could drop Thursday at an event in Bengaluru with the cast present. Nothing official on that yet, so treat it as just that, chatter, until the makers confirm it themselves.

Ramayana also stars Yash, and the film is releasing in two parts. Part 1 arrives in theatres on November 5, with Part 2 scheduled for Diwali next year, a full year's gap between the two halves. That's an unusual structure for a film this size, and it puts real pressure on Part 1 to land both as a standalone story and as a hook for the sequel.

For now, the industry's attention is split between the box office math on a two-part mythological and the smaller, human-scale stuff, like an actor recording a two-minute video in a language that isn't his first, because the audience watching it matters to the film's opening weekend. Zee Telugu's own premiere for the channel version follows on October 18, which should keep the Ramayana conversation running right up to release.
