The timing isn't accidental. Ranveer has just started shooting Pralay, and this one comes with a twist. He's not only the lead, he's producing it too, marking his first outing as a producer under his own banner, Maa Kasam Films. That's a different kind of pressure than showing up on set as the hero. Budgets, schedules, the whole machinery behind the camera now sits on his plate as well.

It helps that he's walking into this new chapter off the back of a genuinely big year. The Dhurandhar franchise had a strong theatrical run, and Ranveer's turn as Hamza drew the kind of response that actors wait careers for. After a year defined by someone else's franchise machinery, however successful, he's stepping into a role where the decisions, and the risk, are his own.
