Ram Charan’s next, RC17, is officially stepping onto the set. The film, directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has cleared its pre-production hump — the team’s new workspace, dubbed ‘Den’, is ready. A photo shared by Mythri shows Sukumar surrounded by his core crew, confirming that the project is no longer just in talks. The pooja ceremony, a traditional ritual before filming begins, is expected imminently. No date has been announced yet, but sources confirm it’s imminent. This marks the first time since Arya (2009) that Sukumar is not working with Devi Sri Prasad on music. Anirudh Ravichander will now compose for the film, Ram Charan’s first collaboration with him. Fans are split: some celebrate the fresh pairing, others mourn the end of a long-standing creative bond. RC17 reunites Ram Charan and Sukumar after Rangasthalam (2018), a film that redefined both their careers. Since then, Sukumar has built the Pushpa empire with Allu Arjun. Ram Charan has become a global star through RRR. Their reunion carries more weight than ever. The film is still untitled beyond the working name RC17. But the momentum is building. The next move? The pooja. Then, shooting. And possibly, a release window in late 2027.
